What would be the plan for public schools?

What would be the plan for public schools? I agree the system of public schools in the united states is a pretty bad system. It's more about coordinating your way through the socio hiearchary then getting educated. Let's not even bring up gun violence.

Here is my biggest problem with private education. It is usually religious related. Which trust me being exposed to this religious education is dangerous because you do not know real science and history.

Here is my biggest problem with home schooling is is creates children are are socially inept. Still with the violence in our schools I understand why a parent might do it.

What can we do to make sure everyone gets educate and gets educated well?

I agree that religious education can be dangerous. I think people need to have the choice of where to send their children to school, if at all.

If you are concerned with private education being strictly religious, which I am sure many others would be, then it would be a great business opportunity for non-religious private schools to be established. If there is a need for non-religious schools the free market will surely supply it. I don't see a need for public schools at all.

I do agree that home schooling does neglect a certain level of social skills that may be necessary for children. I really do think the free market would address many of these concerns and it wouldn't be strictly religious schools. With the Internet and technology we have available to us these days I would imagine the education could be improved drastically if we just didn't have a state monopoly holding the innovators and educators back from doing what they do best...
