I ended up where I am now by inquiring about money. After the '08 economic recession, I wanted to learn what was going on with our country. I also wanted to "get in control" on my finances and learn more about money itself. I found it strange that the subject of money was not taught in schools from a young age. This journey of research led me down many different unanticipated paths. I began to ask more questions. I began to look at the "big picture." I started to see patterns in things and I began to see how everything is connected - on a massive scale. All of these systems - education, economy, government, politics, history, culture, media, religion are all VERY connected on a national and international level. Not only that, be WE are very connected, to eachother. For so long our culture has emphasized our differences. And Yes, we are all beautifully unique and we should celebrate that which makes us unique. AND we should celebrate our interconnectedness.
I feel like I have been asleep for a long time. Not aware to things going on in the world, and no desire to learn. All of that has changed. I am now very aware, very conscious and am passionate about learning as much as I can and being a part of a well-informed society. It's great to see that so many others are waking up as well. And it's important we communicate with one another. And it's very important that we have hope!
